A Guided Meditation Mie Mogensen and Carissa Potter March 3rd, 6-8pm

Posted by carissa potter carlson on

For the evening of March the 3rd, as a precursor to their two month exhibition at Bass and Reiner, Mie Mogensen and Carissa Potter want to invite you to travel through time. With the intention of unifying our past and current selves, we will mentally dig through our teenage bedrooms. What objects, people, music, colors, etc. comfort you on the inside? This trip highlights a vulnerable time, one that has shaped you into your present self. We will drink ink, strap our souls down, and relax into an unobstructed space where both our personal and collective truths exist....
And find comfort in the spaces where they overlap.

Mie and Carissa will gather along with eight beings in a circle for three time travel sessions, each lasting approximately 20 minutes.

Participation will be managed by a list outside the gallery space. Sign up will start at 6pm with the first session beginning at 6:30pm. There are no advanced reservations available.

The accompanying exhibition, With a little bit of luck, we’ll make it through the night, will open with a reception on Saturday, March 10th from 5-8pm.
